Okay so the parentals went out of town on Thursday. They come back tomorrow. Well, that's fine. Normally it would mean that I'd have the house to myself. But they invited my brother to stay, which meant his girlfriend would be here too. And that was fine. They weren't doing so great - I mean he was tiring out easily because he couldn't afford to buy insulin and since he rarely comes over, he didn't know he had some here. So they said he could stay here.
Thing one? She brought her two year old son. Okay, fine, whatever. He's a cutie.
Then there's the food. As in, we're now running low on tons of stuff. Which again, okay. They're staying here and they've gotta eat. But seriously, all the snack foods and stuff that's for lunches? Uh, bye, nice having you in the pantry while it lasted.
There was also this whole big thing last night where my uncle actually picked me up from work since my brother and his girlfriend took off (guess who was babysitting? Did you guess my uncle? Gold star!) and then we hung out. Around 11:00, my uncle gets ahold of them and they say they'll be back within the hour.
Yeah, right. More like two or something. To top it off, they show up with a friend and each of them spent time downstairs with me and my uncle (who ended up staying the night since it got so late) but then all three went upstairs and left her son asleep on the couch until he woke up freaked out and wanted to go upstairs to his mom.
But the kicker? The reason I'm just...ARGH! That would be what I discovered less than thirty minutes ago. My mom left me the keys so I could check the mail. Well thank God I took them out of her purse on Thursday. Why? Because I just went to get the remote so I could watch TV in my room (whole thing where the same remote works for both TVs) and what do I find?
The door is locked. Now you're thinking, okay, just use the key to unlock it. Little problem with that. There is no key. It's one of those doors that only locks and unlocks from one side. I don't know when they locked it either. All I know is it had to be last night because I was just in there yesterday to check for messages on the machine. So it had to happen while I was at work or when the three of them were upstairs and I thought they were just watching TV.
My mom? Is going to be so pissed. Here's hoping her fiance has some kind of tool that could work because I'm telling you now that while I got close by trying to put something in that little hole in the doorknob, I didn't have any success. (I tested it by locking my door and leaving that open and trying to unlock that one thinking if it worked, I could unlock theirs. No such luck.)
So, if you guys have any suggestions, that'd be great. Because I'm fresh out and tomorrow? This is not going to be pretty when they get home.
*headdesk* I love my brother but I'm really wishing they had just told him he could come get his insulin and that's all. I wouldn't be having this problem then. *sigh*
God, I'm just going to go watch more of the anime Heidi let me borrow. I'm hoping it'll distract me.
