All In One Day...

So, the other day my mom calls me up and tells me that my brother wasn't feeling good and they were on their way back from the hospital. I got to talk to him and he said that they told him he had Hepititis A. Well, yesterday morning, he was apparently feeling worse so they took him back to the hospital. After many hours of waiting they finally gave him a CAT scan and then (after more waiting) they told him that he didn't have Hepititis A, he had Hepititis C. Which, of course, is bad. But it's also treatable, especially since they seem to have caught it so early. He's still in the hospital and they've been doing tests on him all day. I got to talk to him on the phone and he sounds waaay better than he did yesterday. He was even laughing. ^_^ Good sign.

But after all the tests, they've also discovered that he has diabetes. They're doing blood tests and stuff now so he'll hopefully be able to find out if he has type one or type two. And also, the doctor told my mom that I should get tested since it runs in our family and now my brother has it...well, now we got to find out if I do too.

Keep your fingers crossed on this one, folks. Hopefully tomorrow, my brother can go home. He's hoping since both the Hepatitis C and diabetes are treatable that tomorrow morning he can go. According to him, that may be happening.

So that's it. All this pretty much happened over a day. (Two if you count the first hospital visit.) It's been an overload but after writing it all out, I feel much better.

Things are beginning to look up again.
