Awakening
So...I did it. Finally. I finished up this Spander ficlet that's been going around in my head forever it seems. It's not that long but it's definitely too long to be a drabble. And the fact that you're actually getting to read this, the fact that I wrote it? I blame it all on
amejisuto since it's fics like White Knight, Black Night or Blood Ties that got me completely hooked on this pairing. Well, I mean I liked it before but then reading those is what got me even more with the "Yay Spander!" and then I decided to write one of my own. This is the result. Who knows? If I like playing around in this universe enough, then I'll probably revisit it.
So...WARNING! Do not read this if you're not interested in reading SLASH! There would be no point at all.
Anyway....go easy on me okay? Now, if you're still interested after my stupid little babble in reading this...click on the cut below.
Title: Awakening
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Spike/Xander
Genre: AU season 4, General
Feedback: Yes! It’s very welcome.
Disclaimer: The characters are not mine, they belong to Joss. I just borrow them.
Author’s Note: I think I almost had a heart attack when writing this…why? Because of nerves, that’s why. I’ve written a slash fic before, hey it was even NC-17. But I don’t count it because I really cringe when I look at it. I didn’t like the way it came out. Looking back at it, I see where I could’ve changed a phrase here or done something different there…yeah, anyway that’s not the point. So there you are, my reason for being nervous. Damn ass…oh forget it! Here’s hoping that I managed to actually write a slash fic that I’m not going to cringe about a few months down the road.
Everything was…black.
He struggled to pull everything into focus and frowned. Everything was quiet. Yeah, there was a whole lot of quiet going around.
Which didn’t seem right, now that he started to think about it. He didn’t know why but he had a feeling that there was supposed to be some sort of noise. It didn’t take him too much longer to figure out why.
He had no heartbeat.
His eyes snapped open as he came to the conclusion that he was dead.
Literally.
There was a comforting pull coming from his right and he followed it, turning his head to find a blond watching him steadily. The pull intensified.
The knowing was immediate and instinctive. It felt like home.
Sire.
“Glad to see you’re awake, pet.” A hand smoothed over his hair and he leaned into the touch, hoping for more. He looked up to see blue eyes fixed on him. “Do you remember who you are?”
He paused and he only had to think for a moment before it seemed to rush back.
“Xander.” It was all he said, as if the name summed up everything that he had been, everything he was, and everything he would be. He was rewarded with a smile.
“And me?”
He didn’t have to think about it. He just answered.
“Sire.” He frowned. There was more…he knew there was more. His sire seemed to recognize the problem he was having.
“Yeah. Sire. Now tell me if you remember my name.”
Xander paused and then everything came flooding back to him. Not just his name, but his friends, his job…his lover. He smiled, his eyes moving over the pale chest that was exposed.
“Spike.” And that was clearly the good thing to say because now Spike was leaning down to kiss him and Xander decided that he could do this all day. Especially if Spike kept nibbling on him, moving from lips to neck and back again. He groaned as something occurred to him. “I’m hungry.”
The nibbling stopped…and who had said that was allowed…and Spike lifted his head, his delight at the remark clear on his face. He tilted his head to the side, baring his neck and Xander just stared, positive that his heart would be beating uncontrollably right now if it could. He felt the shift happen and bit down.
They both groaned at that contact, Spike at the feel of being bitten and Xander at that first taste of blood…Sire’s blood, even better than human blood would be at this point.
Xander thrust up against Spike when he felt fangs pierce his neck. He pulled away, throwing his head back as Spike licked at his mark and thrust his hips down. This was even better than when he had been alive. His eyes widened at the friction as Spike ground down against him.
For one thing, he didn’t need to breathe. This became very clear when Spike began attacking his mouth with his own. Xander moaned into the kiss, very glad that he no longer had to pull back to pull in gasping breaths. Instead, he happily decided that if left to it, he could kiss Spike for hours at a time. Days even.
One cool hand slid down his body, sneaking between them and unbuttoning his jeans. He let out a cry as Spike’s hand slid under the waistband to begin stroking his cock. He arched up, trying desperately to get closer.
“Yeah…still so responsive, aren’t you pet?” Spike leaned down to lick at his bite marks and Xander began to thrust his hips up faster as Spike began to pump him, tightening his hand on every other stroke. It felt a bit painful and just so incredible all at once. And then Xander was feeling a sharp sting at his neck once more and his mouth opened in a silent scream as he came, pushing against Spike, his hands gripping Spike’s forearms.
He let out an unnecessary breath as he began to calm, reveling in the feel of Spike licking his neck and his eyes closed for a bit before a mischievous grin crosses his face. He flipped them so that he was straddling Spike and trailed a hand down his chest, to the top of his jeans before saying simply,
“Your turn, Sire.”
