I am such a dorky nerdy fangirl. I can't go a whole day without associating something with fandom in some way. And today, it's the book I'm reading. I'm rereading Montana Sky by Nora Roberts and it's set on a ranch (three guesses where *g*) and their guns? Winchesters. Which has me fighting off a grin whenever it's mentioned. But the exchange that had me giggling was this one:
"Being cocky isn't much protection against a knife."
"A Winchester is."
BWAH! And since in one of her more recent books (Key of Light, the first in the Key trilogy if you're interested), she had two of her main characters have (and yes, I'm a big enough dork that I know exactly which book to find it in and where) this exchange:
"I had a dream."
"I was having a damn good one myself. I think it involved Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and a really big vat of dark chocolate, and then you called and interrupted it."
Plus Harry Potter references. So really, I'm just waiting for the day when she brings up one of the Winchesters in a book. I mean, come on, it could happen right?
Right. So that's my dorkiness of the day.
Now...if you'll excuse me, I've got three Buffy/SPN crossovers in the works, two of which could be used for this week's challenge at
spn_btvs. I just have to finish one. So I think I'm going to go do that. *runs off*
