He would have cursed anyone who would have told him that this year he’d find him attractive. Up until this year, he had been certain he only liked girls despite the fact that each experience had been a disaster.
And then he’d seen Draco Malfoy for the first time in months as he’d been boarding the train.
He was taller, leaner and he no longer gelled his hair. Not to mention his eyes. Had they always been that piercing silver?
He was a boy. A young man.
He was Malfoy.
How did you admit that you wanted to be with the person who took such pleasure in making your life hell?
Harry had faced Voldemort and won, he’d seen more in his short lifetime than many would see if they lived a nice long life. But nothing terrified him more than the thought of what Ron and Hermione’s reactions would be once he told them he liked Malfoy.
Of course, he’d have to tell them he’d realized he was gay first.
Harry sighed as he looked across the Great Hall. He was afraid of what their reactions would be. He didn’t want to lose them because he wasn’t sure what he’d do if he did. His gaze moved over faces pausing on Malfoy as he smirked at Blaise Zabini.
Maybe there was one other thing that terrified him more than telling Ron and Hermione he liked Malfoy. He quickly looked away, laughing at something Seamus had said even as his stomach clenched.
After all, he still had to tell Malfoy.
