Me = clueless about Oklahoma

blue_icy_roseOkay, so I'm still working on my reel_spn fic (and honestly, after deleting and then rewriting stuff and moving back and starting classes, I'm surprised I'm not further behind than I am) and it's getting to the point where I'm going to at least mention what the hell Jensen does.
And I asked this question awhile back and one of the answers was to have Jensen own his own ranch. Success right? Because I loved that idea.
The problem? I don't know anything about Oklahoma and that's where I decided to set it so that I could have Chris' family in it without having them fly in and also because...I don't know. Just because I got the crazy notion to set it there. So, I know that Chris Kane's family moved to Norman, Oklahoma (no idea if they still live there but for the sake of this fic and my sanity, they do). What I don't know is whether or not the area outside of town is good for ranching. And I know, it's fic so I could just say it is and to hell with the consequences but I'm genuinely curious on this one and it's bugging the crap out of me and...and...
And I'm driving myself insane trying to figure this out. But I have to go because it's time to head home. Which means finishing this fic without the help of the internet unless I snag roomie's laptop later to see if there's a response to this random post.
