blue_icy_roseOkay, so when I was posting the link to my entry for marishna's Supernatural Pic Prompt Challenge, I saw this meme and couldn't resist. Of course, I broke the rules a bit and put more than one line for most of them. *shrugs* I couldn't help it, it was hard to choose! (I did this at Route 66 but I changed the last one and I also added one.)
If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNaWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current works in progress in your journal.
1. Buffy blinked. "You graduated?" she blurted. Dean scowled at her and she shrugged. "What?"
2. Sam had been the one to figure it out, Buffy had just grinned and said something about it feeling like she was back at her prom, and Dean just wanted to kill the things.
3. "You asshole." Logan shoved Duncan back a step, anger and grief choking him. "I've already lost Lilly and now I've got to worry about losing you too?"
4. Joyce listened in amusement as Buffy chattered on, explaining that most boys had cooties, except for Dean because he was her "bestest friend in the whole wide world."
5. Watching the girl, Dean remembered that last Christmas with his mother. He'd seen a figurine of a blonde woman that reminded him of her in a window and had practically begged his dad to get it.
6. His dad was gone on another hunt and that left Dean to watch out for Sammy. Dean grabbed the blanket off the back of the chair and wrapped it around his shivering brother.
7. Buffy watched from a distance as they all celebrated, hand tightening on the scythe. They didn't want her, didn't need her.
8. An echoing laugh sounded throughout the room and he'd barely turned towards the sound before it felt as if knives were ripping into his chest.
9. Xander looked up at Angel, a curious look on his face that Spike had gotten to know well in the past day. "How come your hair sticks up like that?" he asked. Spike smirked as Angel frowned.
10. "What are you trying to say, Dean? That we should take her with us?"
11. Dawn smirked as she hung up the phone, tossing her hair over her shoulder. If that wasn't an award-winning performance, she didn't know what was.
12. "You got a puppy?" Xander asked, glancing over at Buffy, who nodded, a bright smile on her face.
13. Faith shifted and frowned at Buffy. "Oh, shut up."
14. "So, you're pretty much like a great big cat, huh?" Xander laughed as Spike glared at him.
15. Jared normally didn't mind parties. Normally, he went with a smile on his face and had a great time.
16. "I thought I was being very subtle."
Jensen snorted. "Yeah, subtle as a brick, Rosenbaum."
17. Dean's gaze shot to the bed next to his and he let out a small breath at the sight of Sam curled around his pillow. It'd been nothing more than a dream.
18. Xander mentally swore at Spike as the blood rushed to his face. Spike just shrugged.
19. Mary looked down at the picture Dean was holding out to her, pride shining on his little face, and smiled.
20. Giles stared at Dean, who met his gaze steadily. "She's like a daughter to me and I only want what's best for her."
21. "You're not God, Veronica, so stop judging me," Logan snapped.
22. "Draco Malfoy is a known Death Eater," he said calmly.
"And if it weren't for him, Harry Potter, myself, and many others would be dead," Ron snapped.
23. I stormed into the Magic Box, angrier than I'd been in a good long while. Just who the hell did these two think they were, coming to my town and killing things?
24. Buffy stared at the tense line of Spike's back and fought back a sigh.
25. "I'm pretty sure I can fix the Buffybot," Willow said. "Oh, but not to have sex with Spike," she added in a rush.
Dean brightened. "Could you program it to want to have sex with me? Because I'm thinking a threesome would be awesome."
And actually two of these lines? I think they're going to end up in one fic. *shrugs* I don't know. LOL. Also? I blamespnaimee (welcome to LJ, hon!) for getting me to write something in first person. And chosenfire28 can be blamed for that last one. And for one that is swimming around in my head as well.
