Xander sighed and kicked a pebble out of the way as he walked home. He knew walking down an alley, alone, at night wasn't the smartest idea. Especially in Sunnydale. But Buffy had been a bit busy gazing into Angel's broody eyes and Willow had already gone home.
Which led him to here. Walking alone in the dark and taking the not so smart shortcuts because he needed to get home quicker since he'd let Willow take his stake.
"All alone and wandering. Hoping to find someone who will love you the way you crave. Trying to find yourself, little one?" a soft voice asked from the shadows. Xander raised his eyes to the sky.
And there was the reason he needed to be getting home quicker. Stupid vampires. Thinking they could come along and eat you just because you were out at night.
"Why do they always want to eat me?" he muttered, his eyes widening as he got his first look at the vampire. She had long dark hair and eyes that he had to look away from because he felt as if he were being pulled into them. She probably had no problem finding her meals.
"Maybe it's because you look so tasty." It was said behind him and he spun around to find Spike standing there. Xander stared for a moment and then he couldn't help himself. He groaned.
"Great. Just great. Not only do I have her trying to eat me but now you show up with the leather and cockiness. Hey, why not have Angel show up too and then we can have a party? Of course, once Angel gets here, the party will get really boring because he'll be all moaning and groaning and broody over all the people he's eaten in the past." Xander knew he was babbling but it was a talent that had saved his life in the past and he was hoping it would work now. Then again, Buffy was usually around and he was usually just stalling while she killed another demon.
Maybe this wasn't the brightest idea.
Spike laughed. "I like you." Xander almost sighed with relief. "But that doesn't mean I'm not going to let Dru eat you. My baby wanted to eat out tonight and I promised her a good meal after all."
"Figures," Xander muttered. Spike grinned and moved towards him, stopping when Dru held up a hand and walked around so that she was standing next to Xander.
"No, Spike. This one...he has darkness in him. Such lovely darkness that's screaming to be let out," she said, a knowing gleam in her eyes.
Oh crap. The hyena. How the hell does she know the hyena's still here? Or hey, here's a better question! How does she know about the hyena at all?
Spike turned to look at him with new interest. "Does he now? That's interesting." He moved forward. "I bet you've got all sorts of nasty little desires inside don't you? Things you want that you could never tell any of your little friends." Spike pressed against him, moving Xander so that he was sandwiched between him and Dru. Xander noticed the way his eyes looked over his shoulder and Xander knew he was looking into Dru's eyes. Spike's mouth lowered to his ear. "We could show you."
He should really probably be struggling more. This was Spike, the newest member in the "Let's Kill Buffy" club, and his girlfriend. Which meant she probably wasn't the nicest girl in the bunch. But her hands were moving down his sides and Spike was gripping his arms and they were both pressed against him and it just felt so damn good.
How could anyone blame him really?
"Pain and pleasure come together and become one until you see all the colors of the rainbow," Dru whispered in his other ear. She let out a low laugh. "And then you find the treasure at the end. Do you want to find the treasure, kitten? Use our skin as maps and follow the path," she licked the edge of his ear, "with your tongue?"
It didn't take a genius to know she was talking about sex and judging by Spike's reaction, Xander guessed he wasn't against the idea.
"Oh, the boy likes that." Spike grinned. "Keep talking and you could probably finish him off right here, luv."
Xander bit his lip, fighting to keep from making a sound as Spike rotated his hips.
"Don't make yourself bleed yet," Dru told him, pulling away at the same time as Spike. "The fun's just beginning."
Xander couldn't think of a thing to say as he watched Spike take Dru's hand and walk away. It only registered that he'd just gotten very lucky.
